Bollywood producers seek police protection for the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Mukesh Bhatt, President of Film & Television Producers Guild of India, and Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios, which is the distributor of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', held talks with the the Joint Commissioner of Police, who reportedly assured them of police protection to the auditoriums where the film will be screened.
As the attack on the Uri Army camp by Pakistan-based terrorists whipped up a wave of anti-Pak sentiment across the country, the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) decided on October 14 to stall the release of 'ADHM' in single screens across Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Gujarat on the ground that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is in the film.
On October 17, MNS leader Amey Klhopkar issued a statement saying that they will oppose the release of the film in multiplexes too.
, "We will oppose the screening of the movie everywhere in the state. If any multiplex operator dares to screen the film, they (operators) should remember that multiplexes are decorated with expensive glass sheets," he had said.
