Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif tests COVID-19 positive, isolates herself

Mumbai: Bollywood star Katrina Kaif on Tuesday announced she has tested COVID-19 positive.

She has become the latest Bollywood celebrity to be hit by the virus which is believed to have originated from China.

The actress informed her fans on contracting COVID-19 via her Instagram story.

She posted on her Instagram story: "I have tested positive for COVID-19. Have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I'm following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get tested immediately too. Grateful for all you love and support. "

In recent times, Bollywood celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, who is rumoured to be Kaif's boyfriend, Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt have tested COVID-19 positive.

Vicky informed his fans about his health condition on Monday.

Maharashtra has been witnessing a massive spike in COVID-19 cases in recent days.

The state government imposed several measures, including weekend lockdown, to bring the situation udner control.
