Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu congratulates Team India over Thomas Cup victory, writes special message for partner Mathias Boe

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has congratulated her partner and Indian badminton team's doubles coach Mathias Boe after the Men in Blue won the Thomas Cup for the first time in the history of the tournament.

Wishing the team on title victory, Pannu wrote on Twitter: "History !!!! India wins Thomas cup the first time they reached finals !!! Take a bow boys !!! #ThomasCup."

She also wished the coach and wrote a special message on Instagram story section.

Lakshya Sen, Kidambi Srikanth and the doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty created history as India defeated Indonesia to win the first-ever Thomas Cup gold medal for badminton on Sunday.

The Indian players beat the opponents 3-0.

It was Srikanth, who ensured gold for India, as he registered a 21-15, 23-21 win over the No. 8-ranked Jonatan Christie.
