Los Angeles, July 22 (IBNS): Popular American television host Jimmy Kimmel on Friday said his three-month-old son is doing 'great'.

He also shared a photo of the infant on social media.

The child is seen smiling in the picture.

"Billy is 3 months old & doing great. Thx for the love & support. Please remind your Congresspeople that every kid deserves the care he got," the popular TV host tweeted.

Jimmy, in May, had said in an emotional speech that Billy had undergone open-heart surgery three days after his birth.

Kimmel's wife Molly McNearney also shared another smiling picture of the baby.

She captioned the image as: "Billy's looking out for a lot of his buddies at Children's Hospital. Remind your Congresspeople to protect them."

Kimmel earlier had revealed that his child was diagnosed  with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with pulmonary atresia.

The child was born on Apr 21.

USA Today reported, "The baby had successful open-heart surgery and returned home six days later. Billy will need another surgery before he turns six months old, and a third when he reaches his tween years. "

Kimmel urged fans ans followers to reach out to the lawmakers of the nation at a time when the  healthcare debate in Washington still remained crucial.
