Netizens have been speculating for some time now that top actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sai Pallavi and Shruti Haasan are set to join the cast of upcoming Kannada film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, which stars superstar Yash.

Now the makers have broken their silence on the rumours.

In a statement, the makers have asked the fans to stop speculating and wait for the announcement.

The statement reads as quoted by The Indian Express, "There are many unsubstantiated theories and information doing rounds about the casting of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. We truly appreciate the excitement around Toxic, but at this point, we would request everyone to refrain from speculation.

"The casting process for the film is near completion, and we are thrilled with the team we have onboard. As we gear up to bring this story to life, we request everyone to wait for the official announcements."

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Yash's film is an action-packed film which is based on the drug mafia.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 10, 2025.
