Anurag Kashyap makes 'Ugly' impact on audience

Mumbai, Dec 29 (IBNS): Anurag Kashyap's 'Ugly' is a film that has taken the audience by storm with its gripping story and powerful performances. The talented director brings out the ugly truth of society in a brilliant way.

This film has not only managed to impress the audience but critics and industry veterans are also raving about it. With an unconventional background score ‘Ugly’ delivers the ultimate cinematic experience.

After being showcased at various film festivals where it was loved and appreciated, ‘Ugly’ released in India last Friday.

Various well known faces from the industry have watched the film including actor Ranbir Kapoor, who complimented the film and said, “Ugly is Anurag at his best. It is an extremely gripping and poignant film.”

Actress Anushka Sharma also watched the film recently and commented, “A captivating story, emotional and thrilling!”

Joining them was director Zoya Akhtar who praised the film saying, “A cruel thriller that keeps you riveted, till the bitter end”.

Another Bollywood personality who loved the dark thriller was actress Dia Mirza who tweeted, “Watched Anurag Kashyap’s UGLY last night...can't stop thinking about it. Masterful, thrilling and dark and yet so so so brilliantly UGLY.

‘Ugly’ is an eye opener that reveals the underlying truth of human nature. The film has done well and fans are waiting for yet another Anurag Kashyap film to release soon.

‘Ugly’ is a film which drives its inspiration from the darker aspects of life and has been doing rounds of various film festivals since its international release. The film stars Ronit Roy, Tejasvini Kolhapure, Rahul Bhat, Vineet Singh, Girish Kulkarni, Siddhant Kapoor & Surveen Chawla.
