Kolkata/IBNS: Actor-turned filmmaker Anirban Bhattacharya has paid tribute to thespian Badal Sircar with his song from upcoming Bengali film Ballabhpurer Roopkotha.

Anirban is making his directorial debut in feature film with Ballabhpurer Roopkotha, which is based on Sircar's very popular drama piece with the same name.

The song, titled Badal Sircar Er Gaan, is penned by Anirban himself and composed and arranged by Debraj Bhattacharya and Subhadeep Guha respectively.

The lyrics are an amalgamation of feelings and emotions which are initially being processed and finally evolved into a declaration of something mellow.

The film, which stars Satyam Bhattacharya and Surangana Bandyopadhyay in the lead, is slated for Kali Puja release.
