'Animal' actress Triptii Dimri tops IMDb's Popular Indian celeb list

The IMDb has released the weekly edition where Triptii features along with debutants Suhana Khan, Kushi Kapoor and others.

Triptii is followed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the list, which also features filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani whose 'Dunki' is due to be released this month.

The actress, who had earlier caught the audience's glare with 'Bulbbul', 'Qala', became an online sensation after her chemistry with actor Ranbir Kapoor in 'Animal' was loved by the viewers.

She was even addressed as the "national crush" on social media. 

Triptii, whose nude scene with Ranbir has also garnered quite a lot of attention, got her Instagram followers shot up to over 2 million from 6 lakh in a quick time.

'Animal', which co-stars Rashmika Mandanna, shows Ranbir's toxic relationship with his father played by Anil Kapoor.

The plot shows Ranbir would go to any length to protect his father, even impacting his relationship with his wife played by Rashmika.

Despite the massive success in the box office, the film received flak for allegedly glorifying violence and misogyny.
