Mumbai/IBNS: Zanjeer is considered as one of the iconic Bollywood movies and on Sunday night megestar Amitabh Bachchan, who featured in the lead role, remembered the film on its 47th release year.

He shared a poster of the movie on his Twitter page.

Zanjeer is considered as a major gamechanger in the career of the megastar who then moved ahead and ruled B-town with his strong performance for decades.
"T 3527 - 47 years of ZANJEER .. !!" Bachchan tweeted.

Zanjeer is a 1973 Indian Hindi-language action film written by Salim-Javed.

The movie was directed and produced by Prakash Mehra.

It featured Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Pran, Ajit Khan and Bindu in the lead roles.

The film changed Hindi cinema's trend from romance films to action films, and pioneered Bachchan's new image of a brooding but explosive person who fights back when cornered, known as "The Angry Young Man."
