New Delhi/UNI: The award season has started and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi is making its name shine all across.

Having created examples of its success, Gangubai Kathiawadi seems to take away awards as Alia Bhatt has won Zee Cine Award for Best Actor - Female and she can't hold her excitement to thank the filmmaker.

Taking to her social media, Alia shared a picture with the award while writing a thankful note for Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She wrote -"Gangu love Thank you @zeecineawards for the honour! Sir - no words will ever be enough for how grateful I am to you !! @bhansaliproductions"."

We see Alia sweeping the best actress credit across all awards, this award season for her brilliant performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi which released last year.

No doubt the film was the biggest blockbuster of last year, which opened with a double digit number against all odds.

The film had completed one year on February 25.
