Alia Bhatt will soon be a part of YRF Spy Universe
Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani has confirmed that Indian actress Alia Bhatt will be joining the YRF Spy Universe.
Filming for the movie will begin later this year.
Tiger starring Salman Khan, War starring Hrithik Roshan, and Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan are all part of the spy universe which has garnered several Box Office hits so far.
Speaking at FICCI Frames, Akshaye was quoted as saying by India Today, “I'll share the worst-kept secret in the industry, which is, Alia Bhatt is headlining a Spy Universe film and that the schedule starts later this year. But you know, talking about this spy universe, we are actually just so thrilled and excited about having this IP (intellectual property) in the studio.”
He described YRF Spy Universe as a 'financial and cultural juggernaut'.
The YRF Spy Universe started its journey in 2012 with Salman Khan's ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.
The last released movie of the franchise was ‘Tiger 3’.
It featured Salman and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
Alia made her international debut last year opposite Gal Gadot in Heart of Stone.
Heart of Stone was released on August 11, 2023, by Netflix.
