Mumbai/IBNS: Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer Hindi film Malang, which has been directed by Mohit Suri, released on Friday.

Apart from Kapur and Patani, the romantic tale also stars veteran actor Anil Kapoor in a crucial role.

This is the first film where Kapur and Patani shared screen space together.

Speaking about the film during its promotions, Patani had said, "It's been a crazy journey as it was caught in the trailer of the film. I really thank Luv sir and Ankur sir (Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, producers) for giving me the opportunity and believing that I could be the character and Mohit sir (Mohit Suri, director) for literally holding my hand everyday.

He (Mohit Suri) would answer to my 100 thousand stupid questions. I thank Anil sir (Anil Kapoor) for being such a mentor. He is so inspiring on the sets. He is still so fit and crazy and driven about each and everything. I thank Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) for being the best co-star."

On working with the crew, she added, "It was damn fun. The best thing was that all of us were so different from each other. It was such a great experience. Anil sir was like a dragon ball which was full of energy and power. It was just damn fun to be around him."
