Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Sonu Sood became the latest victim of Covid-19 as he tested positive for the contagion on Saturday.

Sood took to Twitter to issue a statement which reads, "Hi everyone, this is to inform you that I have tested positive this morning for Covid-19. As a part of precautions I have already quarantined myself and (is) taking utmost care.

"But don't worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems. Remember I'm always there for you all."

Last year, Sood was found on the streets helping various people including migrant workers, arranging buses for them to send them back home during the anti-Covid-19 lockdown.

He was highly praised for extending helping hands to all those who were suffering during the lockdown.
