Speaking to India Blooms on coming back as Byomkesh after four years, Abir said, "I guess people have been patiently waiting for Byomkesh to come back on screen. So our responsibility is even more. I hope people will appreciate this film."

Abir, a popular Bengali actor who has ventured into other industries as well, was onscreen Byomkesh in Sil's first three installments as well.

The other three films are Har Har Byomkesh (2015), Byomkesh Pawrbo (2016) and Byomkesh Gotro (2018).

Along with Abir, Byomkesh Hatyamancha stars Sohini Sarkar, Paoli Dam, Suhorta Mukhopadhyay in the lead.

Playing Byomkesh's confidant Ajit, Suhorta says, "It feels great to be a part of such a huge project and playing the role of Ajit is a dream come true.

"Byomkesh is a cult character be it in novels or big screen, and sharing the screen with Abir da under the guidance of Arindam-da was thoroughly a great learning process."

Playing Satyabati for the fourth time on screen, Sohini says, "There was no challenge in playing the role in this film. It's just an opportunity to explore myself as an actor."

Sil, extremely positive about his fourth directorial, said, "This fourth Byomkesh directorial was altogether a different equation to solve. The additional details which were put in an already monumental inscription were very minutely thought.

"Anticipating the audience will shower the same appreciation that we received in my previous Byomkesh films."
