Aadujeevitham: Prithviraj Sukuraman claims no intimate scene was shot with goat

Filmmaker Blessy's Malayalam film 'Aadujeevitham' ('The Goat Life' in English) starring Prithviraj Sukuraman, a survival drama, is already a hit at the box office.

The film has crossed the 100-crore mark worldwide in just seven days since its release.

Now a question has been raised over a scene where the protagonist Najeeb engages in an intimacy with a goat.

But, Sukuraman has claimed such an intimate scene was never shot.

When he was asked, the actor said, as quoted by media, "Never shot it, Sir. It was the director’s call that the character arc of his Najeeb wouldn’t do that."

On his approach to the role, Sukuraman said, "In 2008, when Blessy first told me about doing this movie, my first thought was, how do I approach this character? Do I come down and talk to you about who you really are, or do I try understanding the character Najeeb that Mr. Benyamin wrote, or the Najeeb that Mr. Blessy has in his mind, do I try to understand him? This was the confusion I had.

"Finally, Mr. Blessy and I decided that, from the novel Aadujeevitham, and the Najeeb that Mr. Blessy visualised, the Najeeb that I visualise in my mind should be the one I play in the movie, so you’ll see that Najeeb in the movie."

The film is based on a 2008 Malayalam novel of the same name written by Benyamin.

In the survival drama, Prithviraj played a Malayali immigrant labourer who finds himself in a situation where he was forced into slavery on a secluded farm in Saudi Arabia.
