Pele inaugurates Leukemia Unit of Apollo Gleneagles Cancer Hospital in Kolkata
The King of Football, Pelé, spent time with Dr Rupali Basu, President & CEO, Eastern Region, Apollo Hospitals Group, India and responded to her questions on sports injury and the facilities of sports medicine in Kolkata. He recounted those pain full moments of his injuries during his time and congratulated Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata on creating sports medicine facilities. Pelé autographed on footballs to be distributed amongst the children suffering from Leukemia at Apollo Gleneagles Cancer Hospital, Kolkata. He inaugurated Leukemia Ward of Apollo Gleneagles Cancer Hospital on Oct 13, 2015 and inspired the hospital team to continue the great work in preventing and curing Leukemia in Eastern India.
