According to reports, the 26-year-old youth was stabbed to death in broad daylight following a dispute over the possession of a chair, in which the workers of the shop sat.

According to sources, Rituparna worked in the shop before the lockdown period, but was removed by the owner after some disagreement. After the lockdown period, when the shops in the city opened, he approached the owner and resumed work some 10 days ago.

In the CCTV footage the shop owner Arman Ali can be seen pacifying both the sides, Upadhyay added, the report said.
