You have a huge contribution to Bahrain's growth story: PM Modi says while addressing Indian community

Manama, Aug 24 (IBNS): Visiting Bahrain, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the Indian community in the country and said they have made a significant contribution to the growth story of the nation.

"You have a huge contribution to Bahrain's growth story," Modi said.

Reacting to the death of former Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's death, Modi said: "I can't imagine that I am so far here while my friend has gone away."

He said the Indians who stay outside the country also play a crucial role in enhancing the image of the nation across the world.

PM Narendra Modi addressed 15,000 strong exuberant Indian community at the Bahrain National Stadium. 

Narendra Modi arrived in the nation after completing his visit to France and the UAE.

Modi's UAE visit was special as he received the ‘Order of Zayed’ from the government of the nation during the trip.

It is the highest civilian honor of the UAE.

Modi is a two-day visit to Bahrain.
