Gorakhpur, June 10 (IBNS): The Gorakhpur Police have made the fourth arrest for allegedly defaming Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media.

In a Twitter post, the police said he was arrested for posting "objectionable content" against Yogi Adityanath.

The police said a mobile has been seized.

Earlier, police had arrested  Prashant Kanojia, a freelance journalist, for allegedly posting a tweet which had "objectionable comments" on the CM.

In a separate case, Ishika Singh, who heads private news channel Nation Live, and Anuj Shukla, its editor, were arrested in Noida the same evening, reported NDTV.

The Editors Guild on Sunday condemned the arrests in connection with the incident.

"The police action is high-handed, arbitrary and amounts to an authoritarian misuse of laws," the Guild said in a statement as reported by News18.
