Yet another round of talks between Indian govt, protesting farmers ends without result

| @indiablooms | Jan 08, 2021, at 11:10 pm

New Delhi/UNI: Eighth round of talks between the Government and farmers' unions also concluded without any result on Friday evening with both sides sticking to their positions.

Both sides agreed to meet for the next round on Jan 15.

Emerging from the meeting some farmers' leaders said they would continue with their agitation and take out a tractor rally on January 26 as planned if the government did not repeal the three contentious laws.

The government, on the other hand, has made it clear that repeal of the laws would not be possible.

However, they were ready for amendments.
