Woman bludgeoned to death in Rai Bareli

Rai Bareli, Jul 17 (UNI) A woman was allegedly bludgeoned to death over a property dispute in the city Kotwali area of this district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

Police said that the crime took place about half kilometre away from the city Kotwali when the victim was sleeping outside her house. Meanwhile, an unidentified person attacked the woman with bricks at around 0500 hrs.

The body was spotted by some people who went out for a morning walk and raised an alarm.

The initial motive behind the murder is stated to be a property dispute while a suspect has been taken into custody and is being interrogated.
