Kolkata, Oct 18 (IBNS): Two persons were seriously injured in a 'suspected' bomb blast in a motorcycle servicing garage at Bithari-Bakultala area under Swarupnagar Police Station limits in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, few kms away from India-Bangladesh border, on Thursday afternoon, sources said.

According to reports, the explosion occurred at around 3 pm. inside the bike servicing centre and two workers of the garage, Rajesh Pandey and Sabir Sardar, were hurt in the blast.

After being rescued, injured persons were rushed to Sarapul Rural Hospital nearby and one of them, Rajesh Pandey, was shifted to R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital later as his health condition deteriorated.

Sources in the local police said that at least three 'live' bombs were recovered from the explosion site.

Police, however, denied to reveal the reason behind the explosion as well as the nature of the recovered bombs.

Meanwhile, SP of Basirhat Police District, K. Sabari Raj Kumar, claimed that he did not have any idea about such incident.
