West Bengal minister Jakir Hossain seriously injured in crude bomb attack

Kolkata/Murshidabad/IBNS: West Bengal Minister of State for Labour, Jakir Hossain, was seriously injured in a crude bomb attack by unknown miscreants at Nimtita station in Murshidabad district on Wednesday night, reports said.

According to reports, few unidentified miscreants hurled a crude bomb aiming at Jakir Hossain when the TMC leader accompanied by his followers and security guards was going to board a Kolkata-bound train at Nimtita railway station's platform number two (02).

Jakir Hossain and few of his followers were seriously injured in the attack and they were rushed to Jangipur S.D. Hospital.

The minister of state is being taken to a Kolkata hospital, according to the latest update came in.

Local police have initiated a probe into the incident.
