New Delhi, Aug 20 (IBNS): West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here.

This was their first official meeting since Dhankar took charge as the governor.

PMO India tweeted: "The Governor of West Bengal, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar called on PM @narendramodi."

A Raj Bhawan communique said the meeting between Dhankar and Modi lasted an hour.

Dhankhar reached Delhi from Kolkata last night and drove from the airport to AII India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi to enquire about the heath of veteran BJP leader Arun Jaitley. He wished his speedy recovery and met his wife and son and daughter.
