West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee calls on Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at Raj Bhawan

Kolkata, Aug 9 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today called on Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at Rajbhavan,a communique from Raj Bhawan said.

This was the first official meeting between the two after Mr Dhankar took oath of the office of the Governor on July 30, 2019.

Banerjee and her cabinet colleagues had attended the swearing-in-ceremony.

Wife of Governor Sudesh Dhankhar also joined them after an hour of the meeting between the two.

The meeting was marked by extreme cordiality with both sides exchanging views on various topics, added the communique.

On Thursday state higher education minister Partha Chatterjee had called on the governor at the Raj Bhawan.
