West Bengal: BJP's Bongaon candidate Shantanu Thakur injured in road mishap, admitted to hospital
Bongaon, May 4 (IBNS): BJP's Bongaon candidate Shantanu Thakur was admitted to a hospital after he was injured in a road mishap.
According to reports, his car was hit by a sports utility vehicle (SUV).
The driver of the SUV has been detained and is being question by the police, reported NDTV.
BJP Bengal unit confirmed the incident by posting a tweet on the micro-blogging site.
The incident happened at a time when the country is gearing up fro the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls.
