We accept Bihar verdict, will take corrective steps: BJP
New Delhi, Nov 8 (IBNS) National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ram Madhav on Sunday accepting the party's defeat in Bihar at the hands of a Grand Alliance led by Nitish Kumar said they would analyse the results and take corrective steps.
"If there is defeat at the end of the day we have to accept it. Whatever is the mandate we accept. It is democracy," he told NDTV as the results showed a clear win for the JDU-RJD.
"We will analyse what happened. I do not believe any one factor lead to defeat or victory. We will analyse," said Madhav, who is also a known Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) person.
"What we got is we got because of our best factors," he said, while avoiding to remark on whether the Narendra Modi-Amit Shah way of campaigning went wrong.
Counting of votes in the Bihar Assembly polls progressed on Sunday with the Grand Alliance of JDU-RJD leading in 152 seats in the 243 member assembly. The BJP-led alliance, which was leading in the morning is currently bagging the second spot.
