WB student killed for protesting against miscreants, 1 arrested

Kolkata, July 6 (IBNS): One person has been arrested in connection with the death of a college student, who was protesting against anti-social activities in his area which is about 30 kms from Kolkata, reports said.
His body was found by the police beside a railway track close to the Bamangachi station in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Saturday.
 
Sourav Chowdhury's family members alleged he was murdered by miscreants.
 
According to reports, he was missing since Friday night.
 
The police recovered his mutilated body from the railway track between Bamangachi and Dattapukur.
 
The police said a murder case has been filed in connection to the incident.
 
They have arrested one Anup Talukdar, believed to be a local criminal, in connection with the case. 
 
Protesting against the incident, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday called for a 12-hour strike at Bamongachi area.
