WB: Kolkata students killed in Mandarmoni mishap

Kolkata, Aug 21 (IBNS): Three students from Kolkata were killed and four others were injured in a deadly car crash at Mandarmoni in West Bengal's East Medinipur district on Sunday morning, reports said.

According to reports, a speeding Ford car collided head on with a BMW on sea beach under Mandarmoni Coastal Police Station limits.

Three passengers of the Ford car- Vaibhab Rajnish (21), Suraj Dasgupta (20) and Shibraj Naskar (21)- died on spot and four others of the BMW were seriously injured in the accident.

After being rescued, they were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police have started investigation into the matter.

Earlier in May, another person was killed in car mishap during rash drive on Mandarmoni sea beach, when driving on sea beach is completely banned and punishable on Digha-Mandarmoni-Shankarpur sea beaches.
