WB: Businessman shot in South 24 Parganas, attacker arrested

Kolkata, Jul 3 (IBNS): A businessman was shot in broad daylight on Sunday at Usthi area in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, reports said.
According to reports, a local businessman- Abdul Rahim Mondal- was injured when a man fired gunshots aiming at him in a contested market area in the morning.
 
Sustaining bullet wound in abdomen, Abdul Rahim Mondal was rushed to a local hospital and later referred to a Kolkata hospital, where he is being treated in a critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, local people caught the shooter and handed over him to the police.
 
Police later arrested the accused, who was identified as Zamir Mollah. He is being interrogated in local police station, officials said.
