WB: 2 Left MLAs, 5 policemen injured during LF-TMC clash in Raiganj

Kolkata/Raiganj, Oct 10 (IBNS): Two Left Front (LF) MLAs were hurt in a clash allegedly between the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Left Front during an election in a co-operative bank in Raiganj in West Bengal's North Dinajpur district, reports said.

According to reports, TMC and LF supporters engaged in a clash with each other during an election in a local co-operative bank in Raiganj. They allegedly threw few bombs, aiming at each other.

CPI-M MLA Khagendra Nath Sinha and All India Forward Bloc MLA Gokul Behari Roy were injured during the clash.

Police force rushed to the area and resorted to lathicharge to bring the situation under control.

Five policemen were injured in the clash.

Both parties blamed each other for the clash.

Police have started investigation into the matter. Nobody has been arrested so far.
