New Delhi, Jan 13 (IBNS): Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari on Friday greeted the people of India on the eve of Makar Sankranti and Pongal.

In a message, he said that the auspicious festivals are associated with the harvest season and reflect the underlying unity of our country.

“I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all our citizens on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti and Pongal," Ansari said.

Celebrated with different names in all over the country, the festivals of Makar Sankranti and Pongal are associated with harvest season and reflect the underlying unity of our country," the Vice President stated.
