Varanasi, May 1 (IBNS): Reaching Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday traveled on an e-boat in his Lok Sabha constituency.

"PM @narendramodi on the e-boat in Varanasi this evening," PMO India tweeted.

Modi had won from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in 2014.

The Prime Minister earlier in the day launched free cooking gas scheme in Ballia in Uttar Pradesh.

The scheme will provide free LPG connections to five crore women belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families between 2016 and 2019.
