Uttar Pradesh: Two killed in road accident in Rai Bareli

Rai Bareli, Jul 9 (UNI) Two people were killed when a dumper fell into a river in the Sareni area of this district on Tuesday.

Police sources here said that a dumper fell into the river after losing control from the Ganga river bridge situated at Gangaso at around 0915 hrs, resulting in on the spot death of the driver and conductor.

Upon receiving information from the local people, Sareni police station in-charge, Lalganj Kotwal and Circle Officer (CO) Lalganj reached the spot and rescue operation was initiated.

Sources said that the vehicle was on its way from Barabanki district to Fatehpur, when the accident took place.

The deceased have been identified as driver Vikram Singh and conductor Monu, they added.
