Uttar Pradesh: Siblings die as 'kutcha' house collapses in Barabanki

Two siblings were killed and two others were injured when the portion of a kutcha house collapsed in Subeha area of Barabanki district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday.

Police sources said that the incident took place in Kirsiya village panchayat where the portion of the mud house collapsed late on Sunday night.

"Mohammad Haleem (65), his grandson Fiyaan (9) and granddaughter Samaira (6), who were sleeping in the room were buried under the debris," they said.

Police sources said that the family members removed the debris with the help of the neighbours but Fiyaan and Samaira had died by that time.

"Haleem, who sustained serious injuries was referred to the district hospital. His wife Nariman also sustained injuries after being hit by debris," they said.
