Jaunpur/UNI: Four head constables and four constables, posted with the judicial summons cell, were suspended with immediate effect for alleged negligence in duty by the Superintendent of Police, Jaunpur Ashok Kumar on Saturday.

The SP said that Head Constables Kamlesh Singh, Sriram Yadav, Rajesh Kumar Singh and Rajendra Yadav and four Constables Raghuraj Singh, Sanjay Singh, Sanjay Chaudhary and Gopal Yadav were incharge of issuing court summons by travelling to various districts across the state.

However, when the details of their travels and mobile number from the past month were taken out, it was found that they were giving reports of abiding by their duty, even though they did not go to the respective places.

The SP said that they were also getting travel allowance without going to the concerned places and hence, they were suspended on Saturday.
