Uttar Pradesh: Bridegroom, woman killed in road accident

Mathura, Jun 25 (UNI) A bridegroom and his close relative were killed while four people, including the bride, sustained injuries in a road accident in the Mant police station area of this district in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

According to police, the incident happened when the driver of the car fell asleep near Prem Nagar village and the vehicle, after losing control, rammed into an electricity pole at the Nauhjheel Mant road.

The marriage party was returning after solemnisation of the wedding of Pintu and Sarvesh from Baltigarhi village of the Raya police station area.
 
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot, rescued the injured with the help of the locals and rushed them to the district hospital where Pintu (22) and his close relative Pushpa were declared brought dead.

Four people, including Sarvesh, Pintu's uncle Neeraj and another relative Santosh, were seriously injured.
