Uttar Pradesh: 3 kids drown in Rapti river, body of 1 recovered

Siddharthnagar, May 20 (UNI) The body of a kid, who had drowned in Rapti river at Dumariyaganj town of this Uttar Pradesh district on Sunday evening, was recovered on Monday, while search was on for the bodies of other two children, who had also drowned with him, police sources said here.

According to sources, Dumariyaganj town resident Shamim had gone to take bath in Rapti river, along with his four friends.

Meanwhile, two kids were standing at the bank of the river, while Shamim and two others drowned, after they went deep into the water.

Sources said the kids standing outside gave information regarding the same to the nearby people, who alerted the police.

Police recovered the body of Shamim, while it was currently in search of the other two kids.
