Usanas Foundation partners with MEA to host third edition of Maharana Pratap Annual Geopolitics Dialogue in Udaipur

Rajasthan-based Usanas Foundation will host the third edition of the Maharana Pratap Annual Geopolitics Dialogue (MPAGD) in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India on March 22-23.

It will be held in Hotel Ramada, Udaipur.

The central theme of MPAGD 2024 is "Shukra Niti: Navigating Turbulence, Turmoil and Uncertainty and Defining India's Role as Vishwamitra."

The conference is Usanas Foundation’s flagship international security and foreign policy dialogue.

Why the event will be held in Udaipur?

It is held in Udaipur as a tribute to Maharana Pratap to honour his legacy in diplomacy and foreign policy.

Key dignitaries

Key dignitaries who will join the event are Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister  of Petroleum and Natural Gas ; Jawad Anani, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan; MJ Akbar, Former Minister of State for External Affairs of India; Anil Trigunayat, Former Indian envoy to Libya, Malta, and Jordan; Pankaj Saran, former Deputy NSA; Vijay Thakur Singh, DG ICWA; Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, Director, Strategic & Operational Planning & Centre for Foreign Policy Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Greece;  Denis Alipov, Russian Ambassador to India; Freddy Svane, Danish Ambassador to India; Tejendra Khanna, Former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, among others.

“The conference will focus on India’s intensifying defence and strategic partnership with Armenia, the changing geopolitics of West Asia, and will focus on India’s ancient wisdom on statecraft hidden in texts like Shukraniti,” read a statement issued by Usanas Foundation.

Usanas Foundation said the dialogue will also focus on the world’s perception of India under the ‘visionary leadership’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 The conference achieved success last year with dignitaries attending it including Kolinda Grabar, Croatia’s Former President; Naor Gilon, Israel’s envoy to India; Dimitrios, Greek envoy to India, among others.
