UP: Four die, 2 injured as unidentified vehicle hits auto

Amroha: Four persons, including a woman and her two children, were killed and two others were injured when an auto-rickshaw was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Kotwali Dehat area of Amroha district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here in Tuesday.

Police sources said that the incident took place near Sikandarpur turn on national highway late on Monday night when the auto-rickshaw overturned after being hit by an unidentified vehicle. "Meera Saini (25), a resident of Shivpuri, her daughter Priya (8) and son Shivam (4) were killed on the spot," they said.

Police sources said that Meera's husband Rohit Saini, their daughter Mahi and her brother Vikas (26) were injured in the incident. "The injured were taken to Meerut high center where Vikas succumbed to his injuries," they said.

Police sources said that Rohit was undergoing treatment in AIIMS Rishikesh. "On Monday night Rohit along with his family and brother-in-law had left for AIIMS where he was scheduled to get operated on Tuesday," they said.
