UP farm loans waiver: Promises met, says Adityanath's cabinet

Lucknow, Apr 4 (IBNS): After waiving the loans of farmers of Uttar Pradesh, cabinet members of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that they met the promises which were made in their election manifesto, media reports.

A minister of UP government, Siddharth Nath Singh, said that the decision would help around 2.15 crore people of the state.

The BJP in their manifesto for the assembly election of UP, stated that they would waive farm loans if voted to power.

In the first cabinet meeting of newly elected BJP government in UP, it is decided that all money from the harvests will go directly to the bank accounts of farmers.
