Unitech MD Sanjay Chandra and brother arrested

New Delhi, Apr 1 (IBNS) : Sanjay Chandra, Managing Director of real estate firm Unitech, and his brother Ajay Chandra have been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police, reports said.

They  have been accused of duping buyers who had booked flats in his Greater Noida residential project.

Chandra and his brother are scheduled to be produced in court after 2pm on Saturday.

The buyers alleged that Unitech failed to complete the project on time and  did not refund the money.

.The flats were to be handed over by April 2008.

Chandra was also arrested in 2011 in the 2G spectrum case.
