Union Tourism and Culture Minister meets Baba Ramdev

Haridwar, Nov 30 (IBNS) Union Tourism and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma has said that it is the duty of every citizen to sincerely carry forward the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of our Prime Minister in letter and spirit.

Speaking at a function in Haridwar on Sunday, he urged the local people to keep the ghats clean.

He said his Ministry will extend all possible help to the tourim industry in Uttarakhand to promote the state as a major tourism destination of the country.

Later the Minister met some religious leaders including Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev.

Sharma discussed various issues related to Yoga and Ayurved and its contribution to promote tourism in the country with the Baba.

This is the first visit of Uttarakhand by Mahesh Sharma after assuming the charge as Union Minister.
