Union minister Maneka Gandhi lauds 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' scheme

New Delhi, May 4 (IBNS): The 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' scheme has brought in a positive shift in perception regarding girl child, said Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, at a conference on Friday.

She was speaking at the National Conference on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), in New Delhi on Friday.

Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Rakesh Srivastava was also present.

The day-long conference was attended by nodal officers from across 244 districts, the Women and Child Development ministry said.

The minister asked the nodal team to introduce an e-magazine, a tool to enable cross-learning among districts/states and further two-way communication.
