New Delhi/IBNS: BJP leader and Union minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday issued a provocative statement with his "Antankwaad Ki Gangotri" (Spring of Terrorism) for Islamic Seminary Deoband in Uttar Pradesh, said reports.

Singh claimed all terrorists, including Hafiz Saeed, were from Deoband, adding that the protest sites like Shaheen Bagh and Deoband were breeding ground for terrorists.

The minister claimed that the Citizenship Amendment Act protesters were "against India" and not against the amended law and termed it as a new version of the Khilafat Movement.

He went on to say that the CAA agitation sites raised suicide bombers and brewed conspiracy against the country.

CAA facilitates citizenship to the minorities of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh who had taken refuge in India following religious persecution.
