Two rape accused lynched by mob in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati, Feb 19 (IBNS): : Another Dimapur like shocking incident took place in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tezu town on Monday where two rape accused persons were lynched by mob.

According to reports, the two rape accused were allegedly dragged out of a local police station and beaten to death by mob at Tezu town area in Lohit district.

The deceased persons were identified as Sanjay Sabar and Jagadish Lohar and both hailed from Upper Assam’s Tinsukia district.

A top source said the accused were arrested by the Arunachal Pradesh police from Tengapani tea garden on Sunday evening allegedly for raping and murdering a 5-year -old girl at Namgo village under Wakro circle in Lohit district on Feb 12.

On Monday, mob reached the police station and dragged out the persons to the main market area in Tezu town.

The accused person duo was beaten up to death by the mob at the main market.

Meanwhile, Lohit district police have registered a case into the incident and started investigation.
