Two militants killed in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 24 (IBNS) Security forces shot dead two militants of Jamait ul Mujahdeen outfit in Jammu and Kashmir 's Srinagar city late evening on Monday.

Senior police official said, on tip off information, the police and the army launched search operation at Saraiabal area in the city.

During search operation,  militants opened fire on search party which commenced a gun battle.

Two-hour-long gunbattle left two militants dead.

Police believed both militants are responsible for killings of three policemen in Srinagar on Monday.
