Two killed, many injured in explosions in Xinjiang

Beijing, Sep 22 (IBNS): Multiple explosions in China,s western region of Xinjiang killed at least two people and injured many others, media reports said on Monday.

According to a report on the Tianshan news portal that is run by the regional branch of the Communist Party, the explosions happened at about 5 pm on Sunday in at least three places of Luntai county in central Xinjiang, about 360-km southwest of the capital Urumqi.

The injured people were taken to hospital and an investigation was also underway, it said.

Public security officers quickly handled the situation,” media reports confirmed.
