Two killed as gunman opens fire in Kokrajhar, gun battle with security forces

Guwahati, Aug 5 (IBNS) : At least two people were killed and several injured when a gunman opened fire at Balazan market in Assam's Kokrajhar district on Friday afternoon, reports said.

A gun fight is going on between the man and security forces. The miscreant also lobbed several grenades.

Reports said this could be a terror attack.

The slain persons were civilians.

Details are still awaited.
