Two killed, 30 injured in a road mishap in Assam’s Goalpara district

Guwahati/IBNS: At least two people were killed and 30 others injured when a passenger vehicle met with an accident in Assam’s Goalpara district on Friday morning.

The incident took place at Rongjuli area in Goalpara district when a Traveller vehicle bearing registration number AS-02BC-9954 hit a roadside tree on National Highway 17.

Two people died on spot and 30 others were injured in the accident.

The injured persons were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The deceased persons were identified as Matibur Rahman and Habibur Rahman.

According to the reports, the people hailing from Juria area in Nagaon district were coming from Jaleswar area in Barpeta district after participating in a religious function.
